ACLU and Immigrant Rights

For ten years, the IRP has been at the forefront of every major legal struggle securing immigrants' rights; this role has become particularly crucial since the passage of two 1996 congressional acts implementing the most radical and draconian cutbacks to immigrants' rights ever.

Excuse me, but what the h*ll are “immigrant rights”?  The Constitution is for American Citizens!  Check the preamble:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Sunday morning,I'll be flyong to KY to visit with my oldest son and his family.I've been instructed to pack my creams and lotions etc.in a qt.sozed baggie.They are to be no more than 3oz.I have to remove my shoes and be wanded before I can fly.In the meantime, hundreds are crossing our borders without any kind of security searches.
One of my worst fears is that they are also bringing many diseases with them.TB is being detected more frequently and is becoming resestant to current meds.

What is wrong with our Congress? Is that violin music I hear?I smell smoke.

However, the grassroots actually stopped the amnesty bill this time.

Hmm, seems like I should become illegal in order to obtain more rights than an American citizen.

Just how long does one have to sit in that heck hole of an nation to lose your AmericAn citizenship anyhow?

WHY WORRY ABOUT IMMIGRANTS RIGHT AND THEY ARE NOT EVEN CITIZENS. WHEN THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY ARE LOSSING THEIR CONSTUTIONAL RIGHT JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE A DRINK AND DRIVE. DID YOU KNOW THAT A PERSON THAT IS OVER .08% ALCOLOH DOES NOT HAVE 4TH AMENDMENT RIGHTS,5TH AMENDMENT RIGHTS, 14TH AMENDMENT RIGHT. BUT MURDERS, CHILD ABUDERS, EVEN THE TERRORS THAT FLOW THE PLANES INTO THE WORLD TRADE CENTER HAVE ALL THOSE RIGHTS. BUT A DUI DOES NOT HAVE THESE RIGHTS. HE DOES NOT EVEN HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE INSENSE UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY, OR THE RIGHT TO AND ATTONEY OR PHONE CALL WHEN ARRESTED. BECAUSE HE HAS A DRINK OR TWO. MY CASE I GOT FIVE TRAFFIC TICKETS. (ONE) FOR NO TAGLIGHT ALONG WITH A DUI.11% (TWO) NO TAILLIGHT ALONG WITH A DUI.10%. (THREE)DUI I WAS PARKED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN THE BACKSEAT OF MY CAR WITH THE KEYS IN MY POSKET AND THEY HAD ME BLOW FIVE TIME INTO THE BREATH MACHINE BEFORE THEY GOT A READING THEY SAID OF .14%. AN I WAS NEVER READ MY RIGHT UNDER MARADA. DON'T GET ME WRONG I DO NOT THINK A PERSON THAT IS TO DRUNK TO DRIVE SHOULD DRIVE, OR IF THEY OR ENDANGERING OTHERS,CAUSING ACCIDENT DESTORYING, PRIVORTY PROPERTY, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO USEING SMALL MINOR THINGS TO STOP SOMEBODY AND THIER DRIVING IS NOT IMPAIRED.
